Does anyone still have the original Volvo Penta MD6A engine in their boat and work on it themselves? If so, what's the best way to bleed the fuel line when replacing the in line fuel filters. The service manual refers to a hand primer to advance fuel, where does this hand primer go and how does it fit in? I am aware that other marine diesel engines have primers built in but I don't think the MD6A has one.
Can anyone help out here?
Thanks!

Hi klig,
I have just logged on fir the first time in a while
I own a 1974 Dufour 27 with the volvo md6a, I maintain the boat & engine myself, there's a website that has the engine service manual pdf free for download, I'd say if you Google it you will find it, if its not available I have a copy that I could email you.
I will try to remember & log on again in a few days in case you reply.
