I would like to install Electric power windlass on my Dufour 27'. I have a 10 kg anchor 60 m chain (8 mm). I calculated that I need the winch of 700 W. I do not know what to install, horizontal (deck), or vertical. The depth of storage for the chain is 30 cm, which is less than 10 cm to the manufacturer's instructions. I do not know which model that I choose and the place to be installed - on the deck in front of the storage for the chain? Perhaps to be installed on the lid storage for the chain? Does anyone experience with this, maybe photos? Thanks

Who is the manufacturer of your model windlas? How many watts are there? How many meters of chain / rope? When you wrap the chain, if there is enough room for the whole chain? No entangling chain? The lid of the storage chain is attached to the store with screws? How thick plywood? Any details, photos are welcome. Finally we're going to mount it on the ship. Thank you.
